Our winning design in the “Best Kitchen – Canada” category was crafted for homeowners with a clear vision for their new build—wanting a contemporary kitchen that feels spacious and inviting. The design features no wall cabinetry but instead custom-built floating shelves around the sink and range, keeping the space open and airy. The base cabinetry, from Merit Kitchens’ Lectus Beckham series, was made with solid maple doors stained in a deep “Espresso” finish, nearly black in appearance. To complement the cabinetry, we sourced pitted glass inserts that mirrored the glass in the light fixtures, adding texture and cohesion.
The countertops and backsplash were crafted from Silestone’s “Eternal Marfil” quartz, a rich, warm surface with light copper veining that added depth and character. Built-in appliances, including a custom-paneled refrigerator, were used to blend into the design, while features like a farmhouse sink and full-height quartz backsplash enhanced the contemporary style. These elements come together to evoke a western charm that keeps the space feeling cozy and connected to its natural roots.

We are also thrilled to have received an honourable mention for our work on a stunning Coastal Luxury kitchen designed by the talented team at Karly Parker Design and built by Owen Gardiner Construction. This kitchen strikes the perfect balance between natural warmth and modern elegance, showcasing clean lines and thoughtful contrasts.
The White Oak island anchors the space with a sense of warmth, while White Arctic Matte finishes keep it light and airy. The contemporary shaker door styles, Prairie School and Libertti Flat,lend a sleek yet inviting vibe. Thoughtfully incorporated open shelving adds both practicality and a sense of balance, tying together the modern sophistication and natural charm of this exceptional design.
