This Cedar Country Home kitchen was designed with a contemporary approach, combining warm maple cabinetry, painted upper cabinets, durable countertops, and custom storage features for a clean, functional space.

By combining Merit Kitchens and Lectus cabinetry, the design brings together natural wood tones, bright painted finishes, sleek hardware, and practical built-in organization while staying comfortably within budget.

Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

The lower cabinets feature Merit’s Beckham style, with solid maple doors stained in Wicker. This finish adds warmth, depth, and natural character to the kitchen.

The upper cabinets feature Lectus’ Athens style, with solid maple doors painted in Arctic. The lighter upper cabinetry keeps the space bright while creating contrast with the stained lower cabinets.

Together, the Wicker lower cabinets and Arctic upper cabinets create a two-tone kitchen design with warmth, structure, and visual balance.

Cabinet Hardware & Finishes

To complement the cabinetry, we selected Senza transitional pulls by Marathon Hardware in a matte black and silver finish.

The hardware adds a sleek detail to the cabinetry while tying together the stained wood, painted uppers, and countertop surfaces.

Kitchen Countertops

The kitchen countertops are HariStone’s “St Kitts,” offering a clean, durable surface for cooking, prep, and everyday use.

The surface connects the cabinetry finishes while keeping the kitchen bright, practical, and easy to maintain.

Built-In Kitchen Storage

Function was a major focus throughout this contemporary kitchen design.

Built-in storage features include oil and spice rack pull-outs, utensil pull-out drawers, peg-board systems in deeper drawers for organizing plates and dinnerware, vertical dividers for baking sheets and cutting boards, and custom utensil and cutlery drawers for tailored organization.
