For this contemporary kitchen and bathroom project, the goal was to create a home that felt balanced, warm, functional, and comfortable.

This symmetrical kitchen design was planned around proportion and visual balance, with custom cabinetry, a centred range hood, matching storage elements, quartz surfaces, and rustic oak accents that bring warmth into the space.

Range Hood Balance & Open Wall Space

The walls on either side of the range hood were intentionally left open to create a stronger balance between positive and negative space.

This approach allows the custom range hood canopy to remain a central design feature.

White Cabinetry & Rustic Oak Accents

The kitchen perimeter features Lectus “Cordova” MDF doors painted Nougat, a warm matte white that keeps the kitchen bright.

For the island and hood accents, the clients selected Merit Kitchens “Brentwood” solid oak cabinet doors, stained Sepia. The rustic oak adds warmth, texture, and contrast while supporting the clean, symmetrical kitchen design.

In the ensuite, the clients selected a moody, sophisticated tile to be incorporated around the tub and shower.

For the bathroom cabinetry, they chose Lectus “Beckham” solid alder doors, stained Chicory. The warm alder wood adds depth and comfort to the ensuite, while the bright white quartz countertops keep the space refined.

Gold Hardware & Finishing Details

Gold finishes were used on the door hardware and faucets throughout the kitchen and ensuite, adding warmth to the overall palette.

These details work with the rustic oak island, alder bathroom cabinetry, warm white kitchen cabinets, and quartz surfaces to create a contemporary design that feels polished, comfortable, and inviting.
