Pulls (or handles) are longer hardware pieces that you grasp with your entire hand. They can be bar-style, cup-style, or elongated for a modern look. Pulls are easier to operate on deep drawers or heavy doors, enhance the linear, architectural look of cabinets, and are great for modern or transitional kitchen designs.
Best Uses for Cabinet Pulls
Recommended for:
- Medium to large kitchens
- Heavy drawers and deep cabinets
- Modern, transitional, or contemporary designs
Not typically recommended for:
- Small cabinets where subtle hardware is preferred
- Ultra-traditional styles needing minimal hardware
Pros:
- Ergonomic and easy to grip, even with full hands
- Helps with heavy or large drawers and doors
- Visually elongates cabinetry lines
Cons:
- Larger surface can collect grease and fingerprints
- If mismatched, pulls can look out of place with certain cabinet styles
